Tuesday August 7

I had a great day today with the group and all the guys working with us. We are all doing such great work for God and I absolutely believe that a good thing will come out of all of this. We have made great progress on the orphanage even so that Pastor Pedro said "We did too much for a day of work". So I think it's a good thing. I had a realization today after lunch when I was taking a siesta (nap) on the couch. I could barely keep my eyes open. But suddenly I heard a little girl downstairs singing "Oh happy day; when Jesus walked" at the top of her lungs and I realized that I needed to get off the couch and go out and do something. We only have a limited time here and with these great people so why am I not up with everyone else enjoying life and living in the moment? So I got off my butt and went back to work with the group and we had a great time working the rest of the day. I'm so happy to be here and unbelievably grateful to God for all that I've done for Him and the children here.

Sunday August 5

All is well here as we attended worship tonight and listed to a powerful preacher from the United States. We went to a nearby beach to splash around a little and will begin our work on the orphanage tomorrow morning. As of now, no one is sick!! Yea!!

Well, I’m off to brush my teeth from a cup of water, place toilet paper in the trash and not the toilet, and sleep on the roof to maximize the breeze with most of the rest of the group.

Pastor Pedro looks like the cop from the “Die Hard Movies.”
